Saddle Up Riding Club is a club for
children who love horses and want to learn
to ride and care for them. We teach the
children about proper horse care and riding
techniques. The club is active year round.
Stall cleaning, grooming,
feeding and general care of our
horses are an important part of
this club. Horses are hard
work, yet very rewarding! If
your child does not want to do
the work involved in keeping a horse, we
suggest you look into our riding lessons.
Saddle Up Riding Club is open to children
ages 5 and up. We ask that a parent or
guardian stay with our riders under the age
of 6.
Barn times will be scheduled 8 - 12 times
throughout the month. Members may sign up
for 2 barn times for their monthly dues, extra
barn days my be added for $25 per visit.
Each child and/or adult
participating will be required
to watch a our Horse Safety
Video and will receive a safety
manual to review before riding or handling
the club horses. All visitors must sign a
liability release form, which can be found on
our forms page on our website.
Costs of Club:
* A yearly $25 registration fee (goes
towards members liablity insurance
is a must for every rider)
* Dues are $50 per month for each
child (must be paid at the first barn
time each month)
* Riding helmets – $35.00 ASTM/SEI
Riding Helmets are required when
mounted! Owning your own is recommended but not required as
there are helmets to share at the
barn.
* Club t-shirts $15
Dues go towards the cost
of keeping our club horses
for the children to ride and
learn on, education
materials and the normal
human expenses such as trash bags, paper
towels, wipes and bathroom materials. Did
you know it costs over $400 per month per
horse for expenses? Horses are expensive
but the smile of just one child is priceless!
Where else would your child be able to get
instructed riding, learn how to handle and
care for a horse, attend shows and trail ride
all for $50 a month? The normal cost of
most private lessons is $25 – $70 per hour!
At Saddle Up Riding Club, you ride twice a
month and spend more time at the barn than
just one riding lesson!
